How do you get a friend to be less obsessive?
Okai so here’s the deal. My friend, Allie, is kinda obsessed with her bf, Rick. Well actually, she’s obsessed with love, and she thinks that life is only perfect when you’re in a relationship.
So the problem lately is that Rick wants to hang out with his friends more, but when he does, Allie is really depressed, and she won’t admit that that’s the reason why. Rick feels bad –almost annoyed- and feels like he has to hang out with her every second of the day he has free in order to make her happy.
And she doesn’t want to hang out with his friends, even when he is willing to dot hat for her.
So Rick has come to me for help, and wants me to tone done Allie’s feelings, but I’m not sure how to do this w/out hurting her too much or breaking their relationship. Please help!
btw, i have a bf too, and Allie seems to really like to compare Rick to him…
If he’s having a problem with his girlfriend he needs to step up and take care of it.
He needs to either end it with her or tell her how he feels.
He shouldn’t put you in the middle.
