Pointe solo song? “Princess” theme?
I need to choreograph a solo for an advanced pointe student, and the theme we have to work with is “princesses”. Disney is too young (she’ll be 20 soon), and we want to steer away from VERY classical (aka using the ballets like Cinderella and Sleeping Beauty). Does anybody know any newer soft-pop songs about princesses, fairy tales, being a princess, being a ballerina, etc?
Anything that sounds like Taylor Swift, Sarah Mclachlan, Kelly Clarkson, and the like…
Happy, poppy, slower songs 
Thanks in advance, my musical tastes are stuck in the 70s so I’m of little help.
The Vitamin String Quartet has BEAUTIFUL covers of popular songs, though I am not sure if they have anything related to princesses. The closest thing I think they have is their cover of Hey There Delilah. Also, I would try Love Story by Taylor Swift, and I’m pretty sure she has another about being a princess but I am not sure what it is called. Hope you find something
