Behind my 100 year old house I found a buried chamber. Well constructed flat stone walls. icehouse maybe?
I haven’t gone down in it as it is Dark and creepy as heck. I looked around best I could it seems 4ft wide by 8 feet deep and I dint know how long it runs, at least 15 feet. and water has filled it up to 4 feet. Nearby I we have several natural springs that bubble and a ancient pig barn in the back yard. Several foundations have been found in the area but this one is different.as it was buried very close to the back of the house. Any ideas???
Oooo…..exciting !!! Grab a flashlight, some hip boots and a friend and go in there. Explore……be an archaeologist !!!!! What fun!!
It could be anything. Depending on where you live, it might even be an underground railroad. Cold cellar, storm cellar, Civil war hideout, out west – a refuge from plains Indians…could be anything.
See what is down there. I would be too curious not to.
