Southwest bed used to create a unique Western decor
Economic southwest bedding is the way to go when it comes to decorating a rustic home, cabin or cottage. In any earlier, I was looking for an inexpensive way to decorate a room in my house and give a touch of the West the past. I found some Indian blankets in a clothes shop club and decided to add as part of the landscape of the West. I loved the style of Western countries, who created the room, so I decided to put them in every room of the house gives this beautiful style, the south-west to see in design magazines.
Since they use these southwest blankets all day covers, shawls, or mantillas back, I started reading about the history of southwestern blankets and began to investigate their origin. The more I studied, the story became more interesting. I did not know that, although currently very popular among interior designers and houses of modernity, southwest bedding for use in the interior Southwest rose in 1900, when Native American trade blankets have been the market.
Most people I know, I think the blankets and the features that are typically used for southwest bedding were originally developed by Indians Indians. I believed this until I started reading about the origin of these southwestern style blankets and discovered that while American Indians were the main inspiration for the design and production of trade blankets, which are not made.
Indeed, as the fascinating history of research covers the West you will discover that they were actually made by machines, and produced by large weaving companies for the sole purpose of providing the Indians with needed blankets. These plots were given blankets and then in places where the Indian border trade and commerce not buy and use wrap it in place of a modern coat or jacket.
Something also interesting is that we look at the history of trade blankets to use as the Southwest is that women are more interested in the design of home decoration in the early 1900s, the landscape of south-west and west has risen its popularity. These "Indian blankets" as it came to be called, has been sought by people throughout the country that wanted to southwest bedding and bedspreads or decorative covers for chairs to enhance the interior of Native American. The Indian trade blankets were wonderful for covering exposed legs when mounted on a carriage, sleigh or buggy, and new horses without transport. Later used as a spear for camping, sporting events and a new hobby called the car.
Today, you can easily buy southwest bedding online and in stores that sell western and southwestern decorative. Whether as a quilt, bed cover or throw Westerners, bedding southwest adds great character to the decor of your home. If you are looking authenticity and traditional values of Native Americans and are looking for a great way to improve the style of the West in its rustic decor, owner will definitely love decorating bedding southwest.
