Blanket Nip

My new rat nips me for no reason?
She will just be running around my bed go under my blanket run around for awhile find my hand and VERY gently nip it! then she walks over to the arm and nips it.No pain what so ever, it’s as if she is tasting me. i’m worried it’s going to become a habit, and or get harder. Why is she nipping me and what do I do??
And also it’s not every time i pick her up. I will just be lying down not moving an inch and he will gently nip all of my fingers then my arm i didn’t let it go any farther. And yesterday i was on my side she face me again i’m not moving she nips all of my fingers
She has food and stuff to chew on in her cage.
Ok I will try the treat yesterday she wouldn’t eat anything not even smell it just zoom right past it and find a place to stick her head it’s so cute! I made her a pouch (sewed a ripped of pant leg and now i put her and it on the bed she runs in there and every once in awhile runs out a bit then right back
This behavior is part of play and a bit of a show of dominance. Do you have only one rat? Sounds like you give her quite a bit of attention but rats need other rats for companionship. It’s possible that she is establishing dominance in your relationship. This is normal between 2 rats.
Rats also have very bad eye sight so will often check something out with a nibble.
I would suggest you do a little research into the matter. The website below is an excellent source for behavior.
Pet rats are very loving and I’ve never experienced a deliberate rat bite. I think she is just playing but read up on it.
