40’s/50’s themed bedroom?
I want to re-decorate my room, and I love Dean Martin, Audrey Hepburn…pretty much the 40’s and 50’s. I just painted my room last summer(a light pink), so I can’t re-paint. And for Christmas last year, I received a comforter set…so, I can’t change that either. I’m mostly looking for wall decorations and possibly some furniture. Any help would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!!
You can do a search for free pics of the stars you like, print them out on decent cardstock (WalMart sells nice big packs for $5), then put them in $1 store frames – if price is a concern – that are all the same. That way it looks like a collection, not just a jumble of frames…
You could maybe get some of those Hollywood dressing room mirror kind of lights to put up across the top of one wall, like a border, or if you have a dressing table, put them around the mirror.
As far as furniture, goes, I’d hit garage sales and get what you want — chairs or a bench/loveseat, and redo them and recushion them…
If you want a new bed, go with a daybed so it’s sorta like a setee or couch…
