Comforter Covers King

When you buy a down conforter are you spose to get the cover sheet a size smaller?
I got a king down comforter and a king sheet that it goes inside but the sheet is way too big for the comforter
Usually, the sheet goes on the bed and tucks in under the mattress.
The comforter goes on top and hangs down loose on each side of the bed.
Mattress (with a mattress cover if your want)
Fitted sheet
Flat sheet
Blanket (if you want)
Comforter (inside a cover if you want)
Comforters are made in different styles depending on the manufacturer’s preference. California King, Western King, and King styles are all different sizes. Some manufacturers make a style of comforter that is not intended to hang down very much at all. They will not cover the foundation, for example. Other styles hang down to the floor. Some are made so big they are supposed to gather on the floor. Before you buy a comforter, you should measure the bed first, then look for the measurements on the package. Also look at the picture on the package to give you an idea of how the manufacturer intended the finished bed to look.
