Washer and dryer buying advice?
Hello all,
I am in the market for a new washer and dryer, but there are sooooo many options, I just don’t know what to buy.
Here is what I am looking for ( from most important to least)
#1 NO agitator!
#2 Must be able to wash a fluffy king size comforter completely.
#3 Something that doesn’t take 2 hours to wash ( not including drying time)
#4 cool colors like red, blue, green
I don’t care if it’s top or front loader, but a top loader would be nice. Also, I’m looking for opinions on set you own, not just that you have heard about. Thank you!
LoL! I’ve actually had the Harmony!!! I loved it! That washer is why I don’t want an agitator! I’ll probably end up going back to them, but I wanted to see if I could find something better. If better even exists!

I recently purchased a washer and dryer set that I highly recommend.
It is a General Electric Profile Harmony. This washer and dryer have too many features to mention here, so I suggest you go to their web site for more detailed information. I love this washer and dryer because it is a top loader, without an agitator, can hold super large loads, controllable cycle times, you can add a garment as long as the machine is not in the spin cycle, the spin cycle does not leave wrinkles in the clothes, it’s quiet, energy star rated, and you can custom set the cycles. The dryer is large enough to dry the washer’s largest loads. I dried 4 pair of jeans, several shirts, and two sweat shirts in just 24 minutes, I did months of research because I thought I wanted a front loader, but, much to my own surprise, I bought a top loader because of the features and I heard too many negative things about the front loaders in regard to mildew smell, long wash cycles, wrinkled clothing, super low water level in the wash cycle and they
cost is high. So, the GE Profile Harmony stood out among the rest, and I highly recommend them and urge you to do some research to see if the set is right for you.
If you google the name of a washer followed by the word “reviews” you will find real honest people who will share their first hand experience with whatever product you are researching. Spending time doing some research truly changed my mind on what I thought I wanted, and in the process I got the best washer and dryer for my laundry needs.
