The silk was woven to order in China, shipped to our tie maker in England and then distributed to Luxury fashion Boutiques in Australia and sold online to customers throughout the world, so we have created a modern day silk route.
Floral Silk Tie From The Orient
Patrick McMurray is an Australian designer who has spent many years in the United Kingdom studying and working in fashion. Now based in his home town Perth, he orchestrates the expertise of textile printers, silk weavers, jewellers and makers, working collaboratively the world over to produce a range of exceptional handmade silk ties, cufflinks and fashion accessories. Each piece is produced to specific design requirements; meticulously cut, made and trimmed by highly skilled artisans; they will endure the rigours of everyday uses, so value is retained for many years. From conceptual origins to technical specifications conclude all the essential elements of “true” designer silk ties, cufflinks and accessories.
Gothic Influence
Inspiration can come from anywhere at any time. After consulting many hundreds of archived textile designs, this one seemed to make the strongest statement to our end of representing a hint of the gothic era. But then again it could also be classified as art deco, what ever, this silk tie has such great appeal.
Capturing exotic floral essences on silk woven to our specific design requirements, the mystery of the orient, the ancient silk route, the rise and fall of nations: Sericulture or silk production in China has a long and colorful history unknown to most people. For centuries the West knew very little about silk and the people who made it. It was the most zealously guarded secret in history. When silk was first discovered, it was reserved exclusively for the use of the ruler. It was permitted only to the emperor, his close relations and the very highest of his dignitaries. Within the palace, the emperor is believed to have worn a robe of white silk; outside, he, his principal wife, and the heir to the throne wore yellow, the color of the earth.
Corporate Raiders Weather And Silk Ties
The world is plundered by corporate raiders, there is piracy on the high seas, ravaging floods in Cambria, raging fires in Australia, un-seasonal snow storms, and they’ve dammed the Yangtze River. But we still design and produce beautiful silk ties, inspired by the brilliant hues of nature, reflecting all the colours of a rainbow, so forget about the woes of the world for a while.
The Natural Order Of Fashion Design
The natural order of the universe, the governing laws of physics as discovered by Sir Isaac Newton, action and reaction, rise and fall of the mineral earth, planets and stars, the glaziel movements, the crashing tides, crumbling mountains, the natural formation of grids, circles on the earths surface, the volcanic mixture of colour, the changing seasons.
