Luxury Tourism Awards: the Awards for the “stars of Luxury”
In April 2009, the city of Lugano will have the honour to accommodate the “Luxury Tourism Awards” (www.luxury-tourism-awards.com), a prestigious international showcase dedicated to new horizons of luxury tourism. A first edition event will celebrate the most exclusive destinations worldwide and the most special 5 star hotels, offering them a unique promotional opportunity, visibility through international media presence. The Luxury Tourism Awards are a synonym of prestige, exclusivity, high-quality standards, cultural and architectonic abundance, design, environmental awareness, unspoiled landscapes, wealth and all other values which represent today luxury.
A respectable scientific committee, following strict selection regulations, will nominate the winner of the six categories, each winning the Golden Peacock, symbol of the event. The award will be assigned by a professional jury, a coordinated equipe of professors lecturing for the Master in International Tourism of the Italian Swiss University. The regulation of evaluation, studied by a group of experts coordinated by Professor of the Master in International Tourism and Professor at the University of Pisa and Pavia, Claudio Visentin, guarantees total transparency, professionalism and accuracy in the stages of selection and nomination.
Exclusive promotion, visibility in the global media, elegant gala evenings, personalised services, the magnificent landscape of Lake Lugano and a warm welcome of the most prestigious hotels of the city and many more… to live three days of ceremony entirely dedicated to celebrate the most important actors of the luxury tourism sector.
