Luxury Comforter Sets

Why don’t we have more role models like AC Green for our children to look up to?

He is the epitome of hard work, discipline, and humbleness. Plus he preaches responsible decision making and resisted temptation even as an NBA player when he could have bedded many women.

Because proper role-models like Duncan, Robinson and AC Green are considered “boring”. Hardwork, discipline, sportsmanship? Pfft! These arent the very qualities that your average NBA fan is looking for their basketball idols. They want athleticism, dunks, bad-as$ery, dunks, street-cred, showmanship . . . and more dunks.

The problem is the flashy guys, like today’s ESPN hyped superstars, ARE NOT sending the right message across, even though they hold the attention of millions of children. Instead they are out there avoiding sensitive issues, making product endorsements etc. rather than using their fame in making a positive difference. Remember when Chris Webber lost his Nike endorsements because he spoke out against Nike’s sweatshops in South East Asia and his shoe’s price tag.

(By the way, AC Green is an EXTREME example of self-discipline. I heard that the guy lost his virginity at the tender age of 38!)
