How do you cut down those night time feeds?
My newborn baby is only 2 weeks and 3 days and wakes up a minimum of 3 times during the night, sometimes i breastfeed sometimes i bottle feed. Is there any way you can cut down the numbr of feeds or am i asking for too much too soon. Im a first time mommy so its all new too me. Some people say i should be happy when he wakes up 3 times durng the night……..

At that age a newborn’s stomach is very small .. it can only stay full for a couple of hours at a time. Breast milk digests much quicker than formula so they may stay fuller longer if you only use formula at night. If you try to get him/her to eat right before you go to bed.. if he/she is eating on demand it might be harder to get him/her on a schedule but it will be worth it. Make sure you change and burp the baby very, very well after that bedtime feeding because if they have any gas it will wake them up before you’re ready for the next feeding.
My baby is 8 weeks old and is sleeping through the night but every baby is different, so good luck!
