Plum Comforters

Redecorating teen bedroom.?
I am redecorating my bedroom. I am looking for a more modern, contemporary and open, bright look to it. I found a comforter I may base it off of. Here is the link to the comforter: http://www.target.com/DwellStudio-Target-Plum-Blossom-Comforter/dp/B002I0V4TQ/ref=sc_qi_detaillink
It is a light blue comforter with an arrangement of white flowers outlined in black with yellow middles. There are black leaves with either blue or yellow in the middle. A section of the comforter is white, among the flowers.
So basically what I’m wondering is 1. Is this a good comforter to base a teen’s room off of? 2. If so, what color(s) would I paint the walls?
