Purple Pillowcase

Yes or no, would a guy mind getting a quilt as a gift?
I can make quilts… and I’m thinking of making one for my boyfriend for Christmas/his birthday. Would that be too girly or nerdy? If I made it with green and blue colors (nothing girly like pink or purple), something really simple, would that be okay? Would a guy possibly like something like a quilt? Maybe along with a pillowcase that has our names or initials on it? It’d be something that would remind him of me every time he used it. I would appreciate guy’s opinions on this… but any help would be great. =) Thanks you!
We’ve known each other for about a year. We’re best friends.
Most guys would not be terribly into getting a quilt.
For one, generally speaking, it’s an aesthetic we just don’t really get or appreciate. For another, it’s not a really exciting gift.
That being said, it is obviously a time consuming gift to make, and we would appreciate it on that level.
If you have been going out for a year or more (and I give that time frame as anything less and it’s probably not worth that much effort yet) and especially if he has ever commented on your quilts or quilt-making ability, then I think it would be OK.
