Project Sets Goal to Provide 1,000,000 Needy with Blankets
The Blanket America project has partnered with Gifts in Kind in a massive relief effort to help Americans in need throughout the next year. This non-profit organization has set a goal of helping 1,000,000 needy Americans this year by providing them with a warm blanket. The President has also called those of use whom are able to help to action. Here’s how you can do your part:
The Patchwork Heritage Collection was created with the idea of our varied American citizens coming together as one to help those in need. As a united nation we are much stronger than a divided one. It does not matter what color you are or what your background is: we all have something that can bring us together. With this idea in mind, the Patchwork Heritage Collection was born.
The Patchwork America Quilt is comprised of 13 different fabrics representing our original 13 colonies. On the reverse of the quilt is the entire Presidential Inaugural Speech from January 20, 2009, highlighting the words, “Patchwork Heritage” with our lady liberty set in the background. With the purchase of the Patchwork Heritage Quilt, you are ensuring the donation of a warm blanket to a person in need.
Not only do you receive the Patchwork Heritage Quilt, you also get the Blanket America Booklet. The booklet features 14 pages outlining the purpose of the Blanket America charity project. It will also tell you about the history of the quilt and the President’s call to action. Along with this keepsake booklet, you also receive the Blanket America Awareness Car Magnate. This is a great way to show your pride in doing your part to help your brothers and sisters in need. The magnate features an outline of the United States of America. Filling in our great country are quilt patches much like the ones that comprise the Patchwork American Quilt. A banner across the middle of the magnate features the words “Blanket America.” Prices of the quilts are $59.99 for the throw size, $79.99 for the full/queen size and $99.99 for the king size. Sold separately, Blanket America is also offering matching pillow shams and decorative pillows, all created in the Patchwork Heritage design.
