Luxury Comforter Sets

“The Trap” – English sonnet

A bard once sang of the tale of all tales,
Of a vast treasure, of great size and worth
That all the merchants, travelers, and males
Sought after its riches and of its girth,
A magnificent hoard, as the tale goes,
Filled with jewels and gems and of akin,
And so came together the friends and foes
Working to locate the cache deep within
The reaches of Earth, the bottomless cave,
That is home to this legendary prize,
Of which the scholars, bards, and sages rave.
But the treasure did not exist, surprise!
The booty was fake, faux, forged, a sham.
Did I mention that the bard was a ma’am?

The “fun” of the poem is that the woman bard made this tale because she was sick of all the men.

Tell me if it follows the sonnet pattern and if it’s good or not.
