Most of the people spend a huge part of our lives in bed for sleeping, resting and relaxing. Sleeping takes up one by third of our lives. Due to this we want the best and most suitable bed sheets to sleep in. In the modern technological world we can easily find great beddings and sheets online, it may be comfortable in our busy scheduled lives.
Nowadays Egyptian cotton sheets are becoming more popular worldwide due to their superior softness and comfort. Egyptian cotton is considered as one of best among the world’s cottons, and sheets made of this fabric with its high thread count allows for a tighter weave and much softer touch.
We have several options to choose our bed sheets . Silk bedding and Satin bedding are two main choices. Both have very similar appearances, but keeps uniqueness in its own way. Satin bedding can be made from a variety of different fabrics, normal silk, rayon, or polymer-based fabrics such as polyester or acetate, and nylon.
Egyptian cotton sheets are marvelously constructed of pure luxurious 100% Egyptian cotton. These soft knit sheets are a wonderful alternative to traditional woven cotton bedding. They are the softest and most durable sheets available in the market.
When you use silk sheets, you can expect more natural feel. Silk does not need to be woven in any specific way to create a shiny appearance. It is naturally shiny on its own. Silk creates this gloss by using a special kind of weave using a high number of “floats”. A higher float count will produce more shine and much satisfying feel.
In recent years silk sheets and bedding sets have grown in popularity and are more commonplace on the shelves of retailers than ever before. This is mostly due to advances in bedding manufacturing techniques borrowed largely from the modern cotton and polyester trade.
The important factor to consider for bed sheets would be the thread count. TPI or the thread count per inch is the number of threads for every square inch of the material of the bed sheet. In general, sheets that have more than 250 TPI would be able to give a very soft and comfortable feel. They also usually last longer and could resist more wear and tear.
