Silk Comforter King

I have a comforter that is filled with pulled raw silk. How do I clean it?
The fill is pulled silk, not spun.. It is hundreds (thousands) of layers of raw silk threads..
My dog slept on the comforter while I was gone on vacation (the comforter was in a duvet but the fill now smells of my dog) can I dry clean it? It is a king sized comforter and I am afraid of putting it in my washer.
To be on the safe side, I would have the comforter dry cleaned, yes.
You might be able to get away with washing it in the machine if you use the Gentle Cycle and the Cold water setting and then hang the comforter to air dry. Dry Cleaning would be a safer bet, tho.
