i need opinions on how to decorate my room?
i bought i new bed and its black framed and it bought purple silk comforter whith it but the question i need help with is how should i decorate my room i want it to be somewhat night ish looking definitly not bright colors or anything like that so any ideas
comforter is a lavender color
walls are not painted yet
if that helpssss
and seriously go crazy with ideas
i need the help
“Night”ish – hmmm…
1] since you already have lavender and black, be careful what other colors you add. ‘Night’ is good; gloomy is not.
2] depending on size of room, do not make the shades too dark either.
3] Consider:
pale gray
blue – powder to navy
plum
4] velvet is a rich deep texture, good for your room – drapes, upholstery, pillows
4] heavy drapes vs. curtains
5] plush [ patterned? ] carpet – think Victorian style
6] silver [ chrome ] and black [ iron ] metals – lamp, candlesticks, etc.
7] dark wood [ mahogany ] furniture, pic frames
8] crochet vs. lace [ bedskirt, pillows ]
9] off-white or pale gray vs. white accessories
10] ornate silver or black or painted mirror
11] plum/dark blue flowers
