What do you get a relative for their birthday when they got you a .25 cent gift for yours?
I received a very inexpensive b-day present from my live in boyfriends family that was purchased at a closeout store and my feelings are very hurt. I have always given nice gifts on their birthdays and hosted their party’s at my home and now I feel really hurt.
We’ve been dealing with this for years. We joke that in order to recieve a nice gift you either have to be a junkie or whore in this family. We’ll joke that this time we’ll lie and see what we get. But we never do and we live 8 hours away to save our sanity. The answer is do what you want to do. The list thing may help. We do that for eash other and it’s fun too kinda like a treasure hunt. HAve fun and enjoy the ones who love you truly.
