Twin Memory

What is your favourite childhood memory involving siblings?
I would be interested to hear from brothers and sisters, and especially twins, since I am a sister with a twin brother. I am really interested in sibling relationships, especially how they differ between the genders.

That video shows the game called “Mousetrap”. It’s about setting a chain of events off with one action. When we lived in a cabin long ago in Alaska, my parents kept my two brothers and me busy during the hard winter months by having us build gigantic mousetraps that started upstairs, moved downstairs and ended up in the basement. Each one of us would be responsible for one floor. We would start on Monday and have our presentation on Thursday. Everything was allowed, including explosives, just in the basement component, though. Oh, my gosh, were those fun to build with my wild brothers. They got more and more elaborate through the years and eventually culminated in the destruction of the cabin finally when we used too much dynamite that we stole from a tree. Up in Alaska back then in the wilderness, people tied bundles of explosives to trees to blow in emergencies to alert people far away that help was needed. We used way too much dynamite and caused a hellacious explosion and fire. We went to live on Ft. Richardson after that, which was good. But, that wasn’t my favorite memory with my brothers.
Years later when the three of us were grown with our own families, we gathered one year for a big Fourth of July party at my father’s house. My family always made their own fireworks, which was OK, but they were crazy and I refused to bring my children into their notions of fun. But, I agreed to come to that big gathering with my children only if there was going to be no explosives. Well, that night, the guys were working outdoors on the fireworks, getting them ready, when my mother got nervous and confessed that they had BARRELS of gunpowder. She knew I would figure it out and she didn’t want me to be angry at her too. I got my children indoors and was LEAVING in a fit of anger when I decided to go confront them in an old shed by a creek where they were making fireworks. Just as I stormed in, everything BLEW. The three of us wound up in the creek with no more eyebrows and part of the shed on top of us. But, we were OK. Something happened with the three of us all by ourselves for a moment in the creek before help arrived from all the other guests. We were stunned and burned a little of course and I was way too old and sophisticated by then in my own lady-like life to be sitting flat on my back in the middle of a creek once again with those baboons. But, we started hugging and laughing and whooping in this wonderful celebration of all the great times like that the three of us always had growing up and survived. That was my very favorite memories of my brothers. It was fun growing up with them.
