Wedding Ring?
I don’t want to hear any idealistic answers to this questions saying “It doesn’t matter. All that matters is love.”
How much does a man have to spend on a wedding ring in order to suggest he loves the woman?
On the wedding ring or the engagement ring. The wedding rings should be a join effort between the bride and groom and something they pick out together.
The engagement ring is completely up to the man.
As for how much to spend to equate love. Well, you can’t equate your love completely by buying a pricey ring. However, I think that the ring is a symbol of so many things.
Therefore, I think every guy should try to make and effort to go above and beyond with the engagement ring.
I’m not saying to break the bank, but I think it’s so nice when I hear a guy say, “I save up 6 months salary, stopped buying myself video games; so I could buy my girlfriend an amazing ring”
I love to hear those stories. I think it shows that a guy is willing to sacrifice and work hard for the women he loves. I think that’s an amazing quality.
I know most guys can’t afford a pricey ring. However, I think there is a difference if a guy says, “I bought this ring with one week’s salary” compared to “I saved up for 3 months, stopped going out of each, etc and etc. All to buy my girlfriend a nicer ring”
I think the second guy sounds a lot less selfish. After all, he made an effort to give his girlfriend something nicer then what he would normally do, if he hadn’t saved.
I think it shows that he will do the same throughout their marriage and that he understands that being married to someone takes self-sacrifice and planning (saving up is form of planning)
I don’t think you can put a dollar amount on that, because everyone’s situation is different. But, I do think the guy should go a bit above for the engagement ring. I think it shows character if a guy thinks enough about the ring to save up, sacrifice and be a bit selfless for the women he loves.
